Four months later… has Reformed actually made a difference?

Back in June, I wrote about Reformed Coffee after just one week of trying it.

And I deliberately called that post ā€œMy First Impressionsā€ because, honestly, I think you need considerably longer than a week to decide whether something is actually going to become part of your life.

I said at the time that I would come back and tell you what I really thought after using it for longer.

So here we are.

Nearly four months later.

And I can genuinely say that Reformed has become part of my morning routine.

More importantly, I can actually notice a difference.

And that is something I wasn’t expecting to say quite so confidently when I first started trying it.

What have I noticed?

I want to be careful here because everyone’s experience is obviously going to be different, and I can’t tell you that drinking Reformed will produce the same results for you.

But for me, after using it consistently for nearly four months, I’ve noticed a general difference in how I feel.

My hair is one of the things I’ve particularly noticed.

It just feels better.

My skin has also been something I’ve noticed — it feels healthier and generally looks better to me — and overall I feel like I’m doing something quite positive for myself every morning rather than simply having a coffee and getting on with the day.

It’s actually the cumulative effect that I like.

It’s not some dramatic ā€œI drank this and suddenly everything changedā€Ā moment.

It’s much more subtle than that.

It’s become one of those little daily habits that I feel is doing me good.

And perhaps that’s why I’ve stuck with it.

Because I’m terrible at taking lots of supplements.

I’ll buy them.

I’ll put them in a cupboard.

I’ll remember them for approximately four days.

And then they’re forgotten.

Whereas I already want a coffee every morning, so adding the extra ingredients into something I’m already going to drink makes much more sense to me.

That was actually one of the things that appealed to me about Reformed in the first place.

āø»

So… what actually is Reformed?

If you haven’t read my original post, Reformed is essentially a way of combining your morning coffee or matcha with additional ingredients such as collagen, functional mushrooms and whole-food nutrients.

The current range includes several coffee options — including Black Coffee, Decaf, Vanilla Black Coffee and Mocha — alongside a growing range of ceremonial matchas.Ā

The Mocha, for example, contains coffee, hydrolysed collagen, cocoa, MCT powder, coconut milk powder, Lion’s Mane, Chaga and a whole-food nutrients blend. Reformed states that a serving contains around 11.5g of protein.Ā

And yes, before anyone asks…

It still tastes like coffee.

That was important to me.

I’m not interested in drinking something that tastes like a vitamin powder just because it’s supposedly good for me.

āø»

But I’ve just discovered the Mocha…

And this is probably my biggest update since the original post.

I’ve recently tried the Reformed Mocha and I really, really like it.

I wasn’t sure I would.

I’m very much a black-coffee person, and when I first started Reformed I was perfectly happy with the Black Coffee.

But the Mocha is different.

It’s much more of a proper treat.

It’s rich and chocolatey without feeling like you’re drinking a cup of hot chocolate, and it still has that coffee taste underneath it.

Reformed describes it as having cocoa alongside its coffee, collagen, MCT and other ingredients, and you can make it with hot or cold water or your choice of milk.Ā

I’ve been having mine cold, which I think is actually my favourite way to drink it.

Two scoops.

Ice.

Milk or water.

A quick froth.

And that’s it.

It feels much more like having something from a nice coffee shop than making a ā€œhealth drinkā€.

And actually, if you’ve been reading my posts for a while, you’ll know that’s exactly the sort of wellness product I like.

Something that doesn’t feel like hard work.

āø»

And then there’s the Matcha…

Now.

I feel I need to address this because I mentioned it in my first post.

My daughter is still trying to turn me into a matcha person.

And I’m still not entirely convinced.

šŸ˜‚

I’ve tried the Reformed Matcha and, although I’m not a massive matcha fan, I have to admit that it is actually quite nice.

If you already love matcha, I think you’d probably really enjoy it.

The range has expanded quite a bit since I first wrote about Reformed, too.

There is the classic Matcha with Collagen, but there are now flavours including Vanilla, Blueberry, Strawberry and Coconut Matcha.Ā

And I have to say…

I really want to try the Blueberry one.

It looks so good.

And apparently the Vanilla Matcha is lovely, which has definitely made me curious.

I think that’s actually one of the fun things about Reformed now — there are enough different options that you can find the version that suits you rather than feeling like you’re stuck with one flavour.

If you’re a serious coffee person, stick with the coffee.

If you’re a matcha lover, there are loads of options to play around with.

And if you’re like me and are tryingĀ to become a matcha person but haven’t quite got there yet…

Well, maybe start with one of the flavoured ones. šŸ˜‚

My favourite way to make it

One thing I’ve realised after using Reformed for months is that how you make it makes a difference.

I don’t just throw powder into a mug and hope for the best.

My current favourite is:

2 scoops of Reformed

Ice

Cold water or milk

Froth it

And drink.

The company recommends two scoops with around 250ml of hot or cold water or milk, followed by shaking or frothing.Ā

It’s ridiculously easy.

And that matters when you’re trying to build a habit.

āø»

What I love about it after four months

The biggest thing for me is that I’ve actually kept using it.

That sounds incredibly unexciting, but I think it’s quite important.

There are so many wellness products that you try because everyone is talking about them and then quietly abandon them a few weeks later.

This hasn’t been one of those.

I’ve continued drinking it.

I’ve tried different flavours.

I’ve found a new favourite in the Mocha.

And I’ve noticed changes that make me want to continue.

I also like that I don’t feel as though I’m adding another enormous list of tablets and powders to my morning.

It’s simply part of the coffee ritual I was already going to have.

āø»

So which one should you try?

If you’re wondering where I’d start, here’s my very unscientific Simply Caroline flavour guide:

ā˜•Ā BLACK COFFEE

For the proper coffee girls.

This is where I started and it’s still the one I reach for when I want a straightforward coffee.

šŸ«Ā MOCHA

My current new favourite.

If you like coffee but also like something a little more indulgent, this is the one I’d be curious about.

It has cocoa alongside the coffee and gives you much more of that chocolate-coffee flavour.Ā

šŸµĀ MATCHA

If you already love matcha, I’d definitely look at this range.

I’m still not completely converted, but I can appreciate why matcha lovers would like it.

🫐 BLUEBERRY MATCHA

The one I really want to try next.

It looks delicious and is definitely on my Reformed wish list.

šŸ¤Ā VANILLA MATCHA

Apparently this is another one worth trying if you’re not keen on the stronger traditional matcha flavour.

I haven’t properly tried this one yet, but it’s firmly on my list.

There are also Strawberry and Coconut options if you want something a little different.Ā

āø»

And yes… I still have my Reformed discount code

This is the bit I’m going to keep shouting about because if you’re going to try Reformed, please use my code!

Would I still recommend it?

Four months ago, I said I was intrigued enough to keep going.

Four months later, I’m still drinking it.

And I think that probably tells you more than anything.

I’ve noticed a difference in my hair and skin, I generally feel like I’m doing something positive for myself every morning, and I’ve found the whole thing incredibly easy to keep up with.

I also genuinely enjoy the taste — particularly now that I’ve discovered the Mocha.

I’m still not going to pretend I’m suddenly a hardcore matcha girl…

…but give me a blueberry or vanilla matcha and perhaps we can revisit that conversation. šŸ˜‚

For me, Reformed has gone from ā€œsomething I’m testingā€ to ā€œsomething that’s just part of my morning.ā€

And that’s probably the biggest update I could give you.

If you’ve been wondering whether I’ve continued using it since that first post in June — yes. Absolutely.
