I am really excited to be working with this amazing company Le Residence Interiors and absolutely delighted with our brand-new oak dining table from their Brunswick collection. I have been an admirer of Le Residence’s products after buying an ottoman from them several years ago; this ottoman is beautifully made, and it gets so many compliments from guests to our house and from my pictures online.
La Residence Interiors is a British company set up nine years ago by Dan and Sarah Cook. After finding it difficult to source high-quality, luxury furniture to style their homes, they started to design and make their own and La Residence Interiors was eventually born. Their aim is to create “timeless, elegant, classic furniture that harmonises with a wide range of interiors”; and I am a big fan of their collections. You can find their furniture, fabrics and home accessories on their fantastic and informative website and it is also possible to see things up close in their showroom in Alfold, Surrey.
Our gorgeous new table from La Residence Interiors is the Brunswick Extending Weathered Oak Dining Table. This is one of their bestsellers and comes in two sizes; the larger, which we have, has four extension leaves and seats 4 to 12 people, and the smaller one seats 4 to 8 people. I absolutely love the finish of this table which is handcrafted using “a wire brush technique to enhance the grain of the wood”. The table is fully protected for everyday use, which an absolute necessity with all my children about!
The oval shape is one of the other things I really like about the Brunswick table. Round tables allow guests to socialise more easily and talk as a group, rather than to just the people either side of you. This table is a key piece to finishing our large upstairs room; it perfectly complements the new kitchen and the beams and will be the focal point of much celebration and entertaining. With the table fully extended to its maximum capacity, I can’t wait to be hosting events, parties, and maybe even this year’s family Christmas and creating lots of special memories around it!
