Chapter 1 of 12

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you had a brilliant Christmas and an exciting New Year celebration. I took a much-needed break from social media and enjoyed some quality time with family.

December brought lots of happy memories one of which was my husbands 40th - Celebrating my husband's 40th birthday at the exquisite L'Enclume was a truly unforgettable experience that I couldn't wait to share with you all. Nestled in the picturesque Lake District, L'Enclume provided the perfect backdrop for a milestone celebration. The charming atmosphere and Michelin-starred culinary delights curated by Chef Simon Rogan created an unparalleled dining experience. The attention to detail in every aspect, from the personalised service to the thoughtfully designed menu, made this celebration exceptional. The serene surroundings and the culinary masterpieces at L'Enclume offered a blend of sophistication and warmth, making it an ideal destination for a milestone celebration. It's a place where culinary artistry meets a cozy and intimate ambiance, leaving us with cherished memories that will undoubtedly become a highlight of my lifestyle journey.

Immersed in the enchanting ambiance of Grantley Hall, alongside the refreshing tones of Harrogate Spring Water and the botanical brilliance of Bax Botanics, I recently attended a truly magical afternoon. The Orchard restaurant provided the perfect setting for a festive cocktail experience, with an array of tantalising flavours and aromas. Guided by the talented Bax team, we delved into the intricate art of crafting non-alcoholic wonders. Two expertly crafted cocktails set the stage before we unleashed our creativity, personalising our concoctions with unique garnishes. Reconnecting with Chris and Rose Bax, whose journey with Baxbotanics I've followed and admired over the years, added a delightful personal touch to the event. Grantley Hall's culinary offerings were nothing short of spectacular, a feast that awakened the senses and delighted the palate, making it a true haven for a devoted foodie like myself. The experience was a celebration of the art of mindful sips and the magic of non-alcoholic concoctions. Every moment was savoured with #DrinkingLifeIn, embodying the essence of #MindfulDrinking – a toast to the joy of taste, craftsmanship, and the beauty of the present moment. Cheers to festive memories and the allure of well-crafted mocktails! 🍹🌿 #GrantleyHall #BaxBotanicals #HarrogateSpringWater #CocktailMagic #FoodieAdventures Cover photo by @charlottegalephotography.

Our pre-Christmas trip to London and hosting a dinner party for eight adults and 11 children for New Year made the holiday season truly special.

Now that the festivities are over, it's time to bid farewell to the Christmas decorations, roll up our sleeves, and dive into a thorough spring cleaning. Decluttering is on the agenda, and I'm ready to create a fresh and organised space for the year ahead.

After indulging in delicious holiday treats, it's time to shift my focus to self-care. I may have eaten my body weight in cheese, but January is the month to nurture my body. Walking is my preferred form of exercise, accompanied by podcasts and moments of nature photography. My goal is to achieve at least 10,000 steps daily, with an ideal target of 15,000.

Whether it's an early morning stroll or a lunchtime break from my desk, walking keeps me active and engaged. I'm also cutting down on alcohol and incorporating more nutritious vegetables and fruits into my diet.

For my outdoor activities, I'm excited to sport my Acai outdoor gear. I've got a 10% discount code for you below. Additionally, Varley has become a recent favourite, offering both stylish loungewear for my work-from-home days and chic workout gear.

Looking forward to the arrival of spring, I can't wait to see paper whites and tulips bloom. I'm collaborating with We Are Little Buds, and if keeping plants alive isn't your strong suit (like mine), they have stunning faux bouquets to add a touch of nature to your space.

As I dive into the new year, I'll be organising my diary, planning work commitments, and noting key events on the horizon. In an effort to embrace a more natural look during work-from-home days and Zoom calls, I'm opting for less makeup. The sunshield tint from Obagi has become a favourite, providing a warm glow with SPF 50 protection.

Save the date for my Charlotte Tilbury event at Fenwick in York on February 6th. If you're interested in attending, I'll include a link below. AD

I am also organising another event at Coppergate in York - if you are interested in tickets, please book here. AD

Thank you for following along on my journey. I can't wait to share my experiences in the coming months, and I hope your 2024 is off to a fantastic start!
